Database Design System (DDS)
A Graduate Project by Nora McDougall with Dr. Yolanda Reimer

Prototype 8: Instruction Workbook | Worksheets | Online Version

It is a very common scenario that small organizations either don't have a database or have a database that doesn't do what the users wish it would. The purpose of this project is to develop a system to help small organizations design a database, before they start building the database in Access, Filemaker Pro or some other database program.

This sytem is under development. There are two formats planned: paper workbook and online. Both will result in a "blueprint" or set of specific instructions for your database that you can hand over to the person who will do the building.

You are welcome to use the materials linked here to design your own databases at no charge. However, the full copyrights of reproduction for sale or instruction and all other rights associated with copyright belong to Nora McDougall.
