PHP and MySQL Basics


Overview
This course will give you an overview of the process of 1) designing a database, 2) building a MySQL database, 3) understanding and creating SQL queries, 4) connecting your database to your web pages with PHP.

Prerequisite
This is an advanced level course, you must be very computer literate - you have a great handle on file management. You must be comfortable with Dreamweaver. This course does not have time reserved for Dreamweaver basics.

Materials for this Course will be provided in class.

Recommended Text: PHP 5 / MySQL Programming for the Absolute Beginner by Andy Harris. Published by Thomson Course Technology; ISBN 13: 978-1-59200-494-2. This book will take you beyond the scope of this course.
