Hand-outs from Classes
at Flathead Community College
Kalispell, Montana
Too many people have to learn
how to use computers with the "click here" method. Then
the instructor goes away, and you have no clue what to
do when you "click there" instead of "click here." The following pages are based on the handouts for the three-hour workshop series at FVCC.
- A
Gentle Start in Computers
What
is a Computer?
What is a Mouse?
What is Windows?
- Windows: It Does More than You Think
- Saturday afternoon 1:15 -
4:15, Feb. 4 or March 11
Windows is your view inside
your computer. Almost everything on your screen is
a way for you to communicate with your computer. Find
out how to boss your computer around! Learn how to
organize the stuff in your computer so you can find
things later.
- Windows: There's Even More
- Saturday morning 8:30 - 11:30, Feb. 18
Learn how to manage your files
with Windows Explorer. Learn how to change the settings
in Windows to make your computer work and look more
the way you want it through the Control Panel. This
workshop builds on the skills learned in "It Does More
Than You Think."
- Word Processing: It Isn't Just Typing
Any More
